These pages are organised by brand because that is how a lot of people shop, but the honest advice is to shop by size and budget first. See the portable, powered, passive and subwoofer buyer’s guides. A brand page is most useful for the opposite question: you already own something from a brand, or you like the design language, and you want to know what the measurements say before committing.

Each page takes a position. Some brands come out well, some don’t, and where a brand’s reputation outruns its measurements the page says so.
