Denon Speaker Rankings and Reviews

Last updated: September 22, 2026

Coverage note. Speaker Ranking currently covers 4 Denon models across portable bluetooth speakers and powered speakers. These are the products in our database, not a complete list of everything Denon makes.

What this page covers. The Denon models ranked here span portable bluetooth speakers and powered speakers, including Denon Envaya DSB-250BT, Denon Home 150 and Denon Home 250. Use each model’s category position to compare it with alternatives of the same size and use case.

This page lists all 4 Denon speakers ranked on this site across portable bluetooth speakers and powered speakers. Each model is shown in the category where it competes, with its current rank and the size of that ranking.

Use the category position rather than the brand name alone: speakers from the same manufacturer can perform very differently by size, price and product family.

Prices on this page were last checked September 22, 2026 at 5:11 AM UTC. Product prices and availability are accurate as of that date/time and are subject to change; the price and availability shown on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply to the purchase of this product.

Small Size Powered Desktop Speakers

Ranked #4 of 10 in Small Size Powered Desktop Speakers - Denon Home 150: $249 each Amazon eBay

Denon Home 150 ranking card

Pros: A compact mono smart speaker with a 1-inch tweeter and a 3.5-inch mid/bass driver that Tom’s Guide called great-sounding, with bass performance that belies its size. The touch controls light up via a proximity sensor for quick-select presets, Wi-Fi setup through the HEOS app is straightforward, and Amazon Alexa is built directly into the speaker rather than relayed from another device. A second Home 150 can be paired for stereo.

Cons: Tom’s Guide’s own complaints are that it costs more than the Sonos One and has no automatic room tuning to correct for placement. It’s a single small driver plus tweeter, so it won’t fill a large room or go especially deep without pairing a Denon subwoofer.

Medium Size Powered Desktop Speakers

Ranked #11 of 17 in Medium Size Powered Desktop Speakers - Denon Home 250: $549 each Amazon eBay

Denon Home 250 ranking card

Pros: Two outward-angled tweeters plus two mid-bass drivers and a rear passive radiator give it true stereo separation from a single cabinet, each driven by its own Class D amp for a claimed combined 80 watts. Trusted Reviews called the sound confident and wide-ranging, with expansive, well-resolved detail and adequate low-end punch and substance. Amazon Alexa is built directly into the speaker via its own microphones, on top of AirPlay 2, Bluetooth and the HEOS multi-room app.

Cons: Trusted Reviews’ own complaints are a slightly disjointed hand-over between the bass and midrange, and a safety-first treble response that avoids sounding harsh at the cost of outright detail. Only network or USB-sourced audio gets full hi-res quality; MQA-powered Tidal Masters streamed through the HEOS app gets stepped down to 16-bit/44.1kHz.

Large Size Powered Desktop Speakers

Ranked #6 of 6 in Large Size Powered Desktop Speakers - Denon Home 350: $749 each Amazon eBay

Denon Home 350 ranking card

Pros: RTINGS measured it getting pretty loud with lossless streaming support from platforms like Roon, Tidal and Spotify, and found its Alexa voice assistant support outstanding, with hands-free far-field mics built directly into the speaker. Two 0.75-inch tweeters, two 2-inch midrange drivers and two 6.5-inch woofers are each driven by their own Class D amp, six in total, and the companion app adds bass and treble sliders for room-to-room tuning.

Cons: RTINGS measured a slightly boomy sound profile out of the box and disappointing directivity, so the sound changes noticeably off to the side of the cabinet, plus compression artifacts as it nears max volume. Bluetooth latency measured extremely high on both iOS and Android, making it a poor match for watching video over Bluetooth, and there’s no battery, so it’s an indoor, mains-powered speaker only.

Medium Size Portable Bluetooth Speakers

Ranked #5 of 142 in Medium Size Portable Bluetooth Speakers - Denon Envaya DSB-250BT: $250 Discontinued eBay

Denon Envaya DSB-250BT ranking card

Pros: One of the early Bluetooth speakers with excellent all-around sound quality, very neutral and great soundstage. Deep bass without distortion at high volumes. IP67 waterproof and dustproof rating. USB charging port charges mobile devices. Built-in stand on back for sturdy tilted positioning. Measured bass extension of 57Hz (-10dB).

Cons: Expensive. Treble is rolled off. Phantom battery drain issue, would not recommend these days. Uses some stereo enhancement reverb that can sound weird to some. Not as detailed as higher ranked speakers. Discontinued.
