Adding Bluetooth
A powered speaker without Bluetooth can use an external receiver connected to an analog or digital input. Match the receiver’s output to an input the speakers actually have, and check how volume control, automatic standby, and power-on behavior work before buying.
Codec support is usually less important than stable reception, sensible controls, and correct gain. Bluetooth is also separate from the acoustic ranking: adding a receiver changes convenience, but it does not change the speaker’s measured frequency response, directivity, bass extension, or output capability.
If low latency matters for video or games, confirm that the complete chain supports an appropriate low-latency mode. Otherwise, a wired or network connection is the more predictable choice.
