Pull-back points help set the downward angle of a flown cabinet. They stabilize and aim the speaker; they are not automatically interchangeable with the primary load-bearing suspension points.
Does a Pole Mount Count as Rigging?

The short field in a comparison table is an inventory of provisions, not an engineering plan. It does not establish the working load limit, required safety factor, approved bolt grade and engagement depth, orientation, number of attachment points, secondary safety method, or whether a particular bracket is certified for that cabinet.
The mounting points are only one part of the load path. The bracket, fasteners, shackles, cables, structure, and installation method must all be suitable. Accessories that physically fit can still be unsafe or unapproved.
Rigging Safety
Never suspend a speaker from a generic handle, pole socket, improvised eye bolt, or unverified threaded insert. Use the current manufacturer’s installation or rigging manual, specified hardware, and rated accessories. Overhead installation should be designed and performed by a qualified professional following the applicable venue rules and local regulations.
Also distinguish mounting from acoustic aiming. More fly points provide installation flexibility, but they do not improve sound by themselves. The goal is to place the loudspeaker securely while aiming its horizontal and vertical dispersion at the audience and away from reflective surfaces where practical.
How to Compare Rigging Specifications
For portable use, prioritize a compatible pole socket, cabinet weight, handles, and whether the speaker offers a useful downward angle. For a permanent wall or ceiling installation, look for an approved yoke or bracket and clear manufacturer documentation. For flown systems, require purpose-designed suspension points, published instructions, rated accessories, and professional system design.
“Not specified” should be treated as unknown, not as permission to improvise. If the manufacturer does not document a suspension method, assume the cabinet is not approved for overhead suspension.
