A discount only matters if the DAC or amp is worth buying. Most Black Friday lists rank deals by the size of the markdown, which rewards gear that was overpriced to begin with. This page starts from our rankings instead: the best rated dongles, combos, headphone amps, DACs and audio interfaces first, because many of them are already the best value at their normal price, then the well rated ones that are genuinely selling for less than usual right now.
How a deal is judged here. We track the price of everything we rank each time prices are refreshed, and compare today’s price with its own typical price over the last three months. Something only counts as on sale when it is at least 15% below that. Retailer “list prices” are often set high so a sale looks bigger, so they are only used, with a stricter cutoff, for models we have not been tracking long enough.
Prices on this page update automatically. Ratings come from the measurements Audio Science Review publishes for each model. For the full lists, see the headphone amp and DAC rankings. For headphones, see Black Friday headphone deals.
