Pros: Audio Science Review measured a SINAD of 123 dB, so noise and distortion are inaudible and it is fully transparent. It is rated at 3,000 mW into 32 ohms and 700 mW into 300 ohms, enough for nearly any headphone, through 6.35 mm, 4.4 mm balanced and 4-pin XLR outputs. Inputs include USB, optical, coaxial, AES/EBU, I2S over HDMI and Bluetooth with LDAC and aptX HD, and it matches the SMSL DO400 for less.
Cons: At 24 cm wide and 1.1 kg it needs a good amount of desk space. The Sabaj A20d 2023 rates the same for less if you don’t need this much power or the XLR headphone jack.
