Last updated: October 5, 2026

Coverage note. Speaker Ranking currently covers 2 Quested models across powered speakers. These are the products in our database, not a complete list of everything Quested makes.

What this page covers. The Quested models ranked here span powered speakers, including Quested S8R MkIII and Quested S8R. Use each model’s category position to compare it with alternatives of the same size and use case.

This page lists all 2 Quested speakers ranked on this site across powered speakers. Each model is shown in the category where it competes, with its current rank and the size of that ranking.

Use the category position rather than the brand name alone: speakers from the same manufacturer can perform very differently by size, price and product family.

Quested S8R MkIII ranking card

Older model: the Quested S8R (ranked lower, rated 3.4/5).

Pros: Quested’s current 8” two-way active monitor with 370W of class AB power from a linear supply (220W to the woofer, 150W to the 28mm soft dome tweeter), rated to 110dB.

Cons: No independent measurements yet, so its tonal balance and directivity can’t be compared directly with measured speakers; the rating is estimated from its measured predecessor. It weighs 19.2kg each and is a large nearfield monitor for desks and studios.

Quested S8R ranking card

Newer model: the Quested S8R MkIII, ranked higher, estimated 3.5/5.

Pros: A bi-amplified studio monitor with an 8” woofer and 28mm soft dome tweeter. The only Spinorama data shows very deep bass, 33.1Hz (-3dB) and about 28Hz (-10dB), and consistent directivity (2.62dB directivity index deviation). Measured bass extension of 33.1Hz (-3dB).

Cons: That data is low quality, digitized from a third-party chart. The listening window spans 3.6dB from 300Hz to 5kHz, for a preference score of 4.26 that only rises to 5.69 with an ideal subwoofer. Replaced by the S8R MkIII. Discontinued.
