Every Micca Speaker Ranked

Last updated: September 6, 2026

What this page covers. The Micca models ranked here span passive speakers, including Micca MB42X G2, Micca MB42X Mark III and Micca RB42. Use each model’s category position to compare it with alternatives of the same size and use case.

This page lists all 3 Micca speakers ranked on this site across passive speakers. Each model is shown in the category where it competes, with its current rank and the size of that ranking.

Use the category position rather than the brand name alone: speakers from the same manufacturer can perform very differently by size, price and product family.

Medium Size Bookshelf Speakers

Ranked #39 of 87 in Medium Size Bookshelf Speakers - Micca MB42X G2: $99.99/pair Amazon eBay

Micca MB42X G2 ranking card

Pros: An inexpensive compact passive speaker with a proper crossover and broad, useful dispersion. Its local Spinorama result reaches 5.92 with a subwoofer from a 3.30 raw score, excellent value when paired with basic amplification.

Cons: The 58Hz measured extension and small woofer limit deep bass and maximum output. Four-ohm loading can be demanding for the cheapest mini amplifiers, and the vinyl cabinet is plainly finished.

Ranked #50 of 87 in Medium Size Bookshelf Speakers - Micca MB42X Mark III: $99.99 Amazon eBay

Micca MB42X Mark III ranking card

Pros: A very inexpensive, compact 4-inch passive pair with a real crossover and removable grilles. Erin’s data predicts a respectable 5.52 preference score when crossed to a subwoofer, low 0.099 on-axis roughness and broad horizontal coverage.

Cons: Bass extension is limited to about 81Hz in-room and the response rises steeply at +0.81dB per octave, so it can sound bright without EQ. The measurement’s provenance is not fully documented, sensitivity is low, and output is limited by the small woofer.

Ranked #72 of 87 in Medium Size Bookshelf Speakers - Micca RB42: $159.99 Amazon eBay

Micca RB42 ranking card

Pros: Curved cabinet fit and finish look closer to a $400-500 speaker than a $150 one. Rated for a wide 15-100W amplifier range with 4-8 ohm compatibility, giving flexibility with modest amplification.

Cons: CEA2034 spinorama shows significant peaks and valleys in the on-axis and listening-window response starting a few kHz up, with excess high-frequency energy the reviewer found fatiguing over time despite an initial impression of “detail.” Off-axis response diverges heavily from on-axis, meaning tonality shifts with room and listening position in ways EQ can’t correct. Distorts and the woofer visibly flaps under moderate volume; low 83dB sensitivity makes it a harder amplifier load than its size suggests.

Bass Extension (-10dB)62Hz (measured, Audio Science Review) - the reviewer noted an artificial boost around 100-300Hz, so true extension may be worse than this on-axis reading suggests
