What this page covers. The Radiant models ranked here span passive speakers, including Radiant Acoustics Clarity 66, Radiant Acoustics Clarity 6.2 and Radiant Acoustics Clarity 4.2. Use each model’s category position to compare it with alternatives of the same size and use case.
This page lists all 3 Radiant speakers ranked on this site across passive speakers. Each model is shown in the category where it competes, with its current rank and the size of that ranking.
Use the category position rather than the brand name alone: speakers from the same manufacturer can perform very differently by size, price and product family.

Medium Size Bookshelf Speakers
Ranked #23 of 87 in Medium Size Bookshelf Speakers - Radiant Acoustics Clarity 4.2: $2,998 Radiant Acoustics eBay
Pros: Compact bookshelf design using a 4” Purifi mid-woofer with matching Purifi passive radiators and an AMT tweeter on a purpose-designed waveguide, built with genuine heft - aluminum baffle, extensive internal bracing and damping. Surprisingly wide horizontal dispersion (about ±70° through the midrange and into the treble), more enveloping than its larger 6.2 sibling despite the smaller cabinet. More linear on-axis than the bigger Clarity 6.2, which needs 15-20° of toe-out to tame a rising treble; the 4.2 can be listened to closer to on-axis without that same correction. Wider-than-typical vertical dispersion (roughly +30°/-20°) for a two-way design, since its smaller woofer keeps the tweeter-to-woofer distance short. Genuinely deep bass extension for its size (F3 44Hz, reaching about 40Hz in-room), though it comes at a real cost to sensitivity. No resonance issues visible in impedance measurements.
Cons: Low sensitivity (rated 78dB, measured 78.5dB) is the trade-off for its bass extension - needs a fair amount of amplifier power, around 100W recommended for small-to-medium rooms versus the manufacturer’s own 60W baseline. Designed specifically for smaller rooms; the reviewer had to move testing out of his open-plan living room and into a smaller bedroom to avoid running into compression. A dip in the upper midrange gives a mild lack of attack and clarity, and a peak around 5kHz occasionally added a touch of extra sibilance. Multitone distortion crosses the reviewer’s 3% threshold at 96dB, making about 88dB a better average listening level; a slight upper-midrange bump persists even with an 80Hz high-pass filter applied. Dynamic range is limited: fine at 86dB, but the woofer starts giving up headroom by 96dB and drops off significantly by 102dB. Compared to its pricier sibling Clarity 6.2, has notably less dynamic range and higher multitone distortion, reflecting the smaller driver complement. A niche product size-wise - the reviewer couldn’t identify a clear direct competitor in the same size/price/SPL class.

Large Size Bookshelf Speakers
Ranked #27 of 131 in Large Size Bookshelf Speakers - Radiant Acoustics Clarity 6.2: $4500 Radiantacoustics eBay
Pros: Custom AMT (Air Motion Transformer) tweeter paired with a 6.5” Purifi Eikona midrange and dual Purifi passive radiators in a passive-radiator enclosure, crossed over at 2.4kHz. Rigid cabinet construction (21mm MDF with a 15mm aluminum front baffle, extensive internal bracing) helps keep resonance in check. A deliberately rising on-axis response paired with narrowing directivity above about 2kHz yields a genuinely linear, non-fatiguing in-room sound rather than the “fake detail” of speakers with a straight treble boost. Excellent pair matching between units (within about 1dB), contributing to precise, well-focused imaging that clearly separated fine details in test tracks. In-room bass extension reaches a solid 40Hz with real kick-drum authority, not just sub-bass rumble. Class-leading dynamic range and compression performance - among the best the reviewer has measured at this price point.
Cons: Needs a fairly specific setup to sound its best: about 15-20° of toe-out (per the manufacturer’s own recommendation) and roughly 2 feet from the rear wall; pointed straight on-axis, the treble reads as noticeably elevated. Low impedance (2.1-ohm minimum, about 1-ohm minimum EPDR) demands an amplifier genuinely comfortable with 4-ohm-and-below loads. Soundstage width narrows above about 5kHz, even though the AMT tweeter itself is capable of wider dispersion. An unexplained resonance appears in harmonic distortion measurements on both units tested (though not on the reviewer’s reference speaker) - possibly a basket resonance, and not something the reviewer could hear. A minor bump around 500Hz in the estimated in-room response could add a touch of boxiness for some listeners, though the reviewer didn’t personally notice it. F3 of 55Hz and F10 of 32Hz mean a subwoofer is still needed for home-theater rumble or bass-heavy genres like rap.

Large Size Floorstanding Speakers
Ranked #5 of 71 in Large Size Floorstanding Speakers - Radiant Acoustics Clarity 66: $7,998 Radiant Acoustics eBay
Pros: ASR’s revised Spinorama measurement shows bass reaching 32.2Hz at -3dB and 27.8Hz at -6dB, giving substantial low-end weight without a subwoofer. The response spans 2.3dB from 300Hz to 5kHz, with preference scores of 5.10 standalone and 6.12 with an ideal subwoofer. The review’s exceptionally low bass distortion at ordinary levels complements that extension, while dual 6.5-inch Purifi woofers provide a strong foundation for full-range listening.
Cons: Vertical directivity is narrow and horizontal coverage is uneven, so listening height and placement affect tonal balance. Treble resonances and response irregularities keep it from reference-level neutrality. Spinorama’s modeled EQ improves the scores to 6.09 standalone and 6.99 with an ideal subwoofer, but those are corrected results, not stock performance. Measured sensitivity is 85.9dB at 2.83V/1m with a nominal 4-ohm load; use an amplifier comfortable driving 4 ohms. Distortion rises at very high playback levels.
