Every Monolith Speaker Ranked

Last updated: August 14, 2026

This page lists all 4 Monolith speakers ranked on this site across passive speakers. Each model is shown in the category where it competes, with its current rank and the size of that ranking.

Use the category position rather than the brand name alone: speakers from the same manufacturer can perform very differently by size, price and product family.

Large Size Bookshelf Speakers

Ranked #46 of 84 in Large Size Bookshelf Speakers - Monolith Encore B6: $360/pair Amazon Monoprice

Monolith Encore B6 ranking card

Pros: For its budget price, the B6 delivers useful midbass punch and a long reflex tail: Erin measured F3 at 68Hz and F10 near 37Hz. The revised tweeter assembly yields broadly smooth horizontal directivity and an early-reflections trend that accepts EQ well. At sane levels, its 6.5-inch pulp woofer provides satisfying attack, and gloss top/bottom panels plus a braced MDF cabinet are unusually substantial for the class.

Cons: Erin measured 85.3dB sensitivity and a 3.4-ohm minimum, so this is not an easy load despite its modest output ceiling. Low-frequency compression reaches about 2dB and distortion rises rapidly when driven full-range; use an 80Hz subwoofer crossover. Response variation is roughly +2.7/-3.7dB, with residual crossover/treble irregularities that keep it from true neutrality without EQ. The listening window tightens vertically, so ear height matters.

Ranked #47 of 84 in Large Size Bookshelf Speakers - Monolith Encore C6: $250 Amazon Monoprice

Monolith Encore C6 ranking card

Pros: Better behaved off-axis than its horizontal MTM layout suggests: Erin found only about 2dB midrange loss at 20° and useful coverage through roughly 30°. The early-reflections directivity index is sufficiently smooth that Erin’s miniDSP correction produced a notably flat result. Measured sensitivity is a useful 86.3dB, and the dual 6.5-inch format supplies good dialogue headroom for a low-cost center.

Cons: F3 is 76Hz, so a subwoofer and 80Hz crossover are required. Unequalized response is not especially flat and carries elevated treble; Erin recommended it primarily when EQ is available. Like every horizontally spaced MTM, midrange interference worsens beyond the central seats even though this example is better than expected. Four-ohm nominal impedance calls for a capable AVR or amplifier.

Large Size Floorstanding Speakers

Ranked #38 of 54 in Large Size Floorstanding Speakers - Monolith Encore T6: $800/pair Amazon Monoprice

Monolith Encore T6 ranking card

Pros: Three 6.5-inch pulp-cone drivers provide more displacement and cleaner cinema output than the B6, with good compression behavior at normal levels. Erin found the revised waveguided tweeter’s horizontal radiation consistent enough for predictable EQ, while the gloss-capped, heavily braced 49lb cabinet feels far above its price. The tower can produce useful midbass impact when crossed to a subwoofer.

Cons: Despite its size, Erin measured F3 around 68Hz, so the tower does not eliminate the need for a subwoofer. The native response needs equalization: crossover-region unevenness and excess top-octave energy prevent a fully neutral presentation. The four-ohm load and low-frequency phase angle warrant a robust amplifier, and the tall multi-driver array creates a narrower vertical listening window than a compact two-way.

Ranked #39 of 54 in Large Size Floorstanding Speakers - Monolith THX-365T: $900/pair Amazon Monoprice

Monolith THX-365T ranking card

Pros: The coaxial midrange/tweeter produces coherent horizontal and vertical coverage through most of the vocal band, while twin 6.5-inch woofers deliver good 88.6dB measured sensitivity. Erin found low distortion above the bass and useful dynamic capacity for home theater; the sealed enclosure also makes the intended 80Hz THX crossover predictable. An integrated up-firing Atmos module and THX Ultra certification make this a compact, unusually versatile LCR/tower.

Cons: Erin measured F3 at 84Hz (F10 roughly 40Hz), so it categorically needs a subwoofer. Native response has enough upper-mid/treble irregularity that Erin recommended it only with EQ. Although mostly above four ohms, impedance falls to nearly 3 ohms with an adverse phase angle, potentially stressing an AVR; a separate four-ohm-capable amplifier is prudent. The Atmos module adds cost and height but cannot substitute for properly placed ceiling speakers.
