The JBL Partybox 300 is the better-sounding, deeper-bass option. Exceptional sound quality with crisp, crystal clear highs and midranges, hard punchy bass without muddiness. Its bass reaches about 40Hz before falling 10dB, against 50Hz for the Sony GTK-XB90. The tradeoff: Hard to carry, too tall, drags on the ground.
What the Sony GTK-XB90 does well: Deep punchy EXTRA BASS technology for party use. It supports LDAC Bluetooth, which the JBL Partybox 300 lacks. It links with other speakers (Partychain up to 100 speakers), which the JBL Partybox 300 cannot. Watch for: Bass is muddy and not deep, weird midrange peak, rolled off treble and overall strange tuning.

Multiple inputs (RCA, USB, 3.5mm aux, mic, guitar). LED light modes (meter/pulse/party). True Wireless Stereo pairing up to 2 units. Measured bass extension of 40Hz (-10dB).
Cons: Hard to carry, too tall, drags on the ground. Max spl and bass extension are only as good as the JBL Partybox 100. No real reason to ever get one, get a JBL Partybox 100 instead. Discontinued.
