Listening from the front is the worst frequency response, lay it down facing up with xbass off for the smoothest response. Not technically a 360 speaker, only front and rear.
What the Sony SRS-XE200 offers: IP67 rated with dedicated per-function buttons. Can prop up a phone/tablet as a stand. Fast charging (10 min charge = ~70 min playback); Stamina mode extends battery when low. Watch for: Sounds hollow. Very muffled. Rolled off treble, weird midrange boost, just not great overall. Worse than a XB33.
Buy the Tribit Stormbox. It ranks higher for sound quality than the Sony SRS-XE200 and costs less, which settles it without a real tradeoff to make.
The Sony SRS-XE200 is not a sound-quality pick. It sits near the bottom of the 136 medium speakers; there are better options higher up.
