The Soundcore Motion 300 is the better-sounding, louder pick. Pretty deep bass for the small size. Alan Ross Reviews measured it at 101dB at full volume, against 97dB for the Tribit Stormbox. It supports LDAC Bluetooth, which the Tribit Stormbox lacks. It links with other speakers (PartyCast up to 100 speakers), which the Tribit Stormbox cannot. Watch for: Without the above EQ or turning the top 2 treble EQ bars to max, this speaker is very rolled off in the treble and will rank around #50 in the rankings.
The Tribit Stormbox is the longer-running, lighter choice. IPX7 water resistant, dual pairing for stereo setup, excellent battery life (20 hours), instant on/off buttons, 97dB max volume. It is rated for 20 hours of battery against 13 for the Soundcore Motion 300. At 1.2 lbs (535 g) it weighs noticeably less than the Soundcore Motion 300 at 1.7 lbs (772 g). It keeps a wired aux input, which the Soundcore Motion 300 lacks. Watch for: Muffled sounding, treble dips from 5kHz-12kHz.
Buy the Soundcore Motion 300. It is rated higher for sound quality and still sold new, while the Tribit Stormbox is discontinued.

Pros: Pretty deep bass for the small size. Pocket size in a big pocket. Can be used in stereo facing you, or omnidirectional lying down. Ability to have a custom EQ for each orientation, standing, lying flat, hanging. Try the Uboom L EQs from Oluv for a more neutral sound. Measured bass extension of 50Hz (-10dB).
Cons: Without the above EQ or turning the top 2 treble EQ bars to max, this speaker is very rolled off in the treble and will rank around #50 in the rankings. Bassup mode is worse than Signature. Not quite as detailed or neutral as higher ranked speakers. Slight bass distortion when turned up.

Pros: IPX7 water resistant, dual pairing for stereo setup, excellent battery life (20 hours), instant on/off buttons, 97dB max volume. Measured bass extension of 52Hz (-10dB).
Cons: Muffled sounding, treble dips from 5kHz-12kHz. Listening from the front is the worst frequency response, lay it down facing up with xbass off for the smoothest response. Not technically a 360 speaker, only front and rear. Discontinued; Tribit has retired it, superseded by the Tribit Stormbox 2.
