The JBL Pulse 5 is the better-sounding, deeper-bass option. A cool light show, though it is not synced to the music like the Pulse 2. Its bass reaches about 58Hz before falling 10dB, against 76Hz for the Ultimate Ears Wonderboom 3. It links with other speakers (PartyBoost up to 100 speakers), which the Ultimate Ears Wonderboom 3 cannot. It has an adjustable EQ, which the Ultimate Ears Wonderboom 3 lacks. The tradeoff: Bass does not reach as deep as others, and the plastic scratches easily.
The Ultimate Ears Wonderboom 3 is the lighter choice. IP67 rated, floats, and is rated to survive a 5 ft drop onto hard surfaces. At 0.9 lbs (420 g) it weighs much less than the JBL Pulse 5 at 3.3 lbs (1.5 kg). Watch for: Not stereo, barely any bass.
Buy the JBL Pulse 5. It is rated higher for sound quality, and the $140 saving on the Ultimate Ears Wonderboom 3 is not enough to make up the difference.

Its 1500 g, claimed 12 hours (Manufacturer specified) battery life, IP67 protection and mono playback make it a practical option for its intended room or portable use. A cool light show, though it is not synced to the music like the Pulse 2. Measured bass extension of ~58Hz (-10dB).
Cons: Bass is limited by its ~58Hz specification. Bass does not reach as deep as others, and the plastic scratches easily.

Pros: IP67 rated, floats, and is rated to survive a 5 ft drop onto hard surfaces. 14 hour battery: longer than the Ultimate Ears Wonderboom 2. Measured bass extension of 76Hz (-10dB).
Cons: Not stereo, barely any bass. Boosted 93Hz upper bass. Cuts bass heavily at high volume. You can tell from the micro USB that they are just feeding you the same crap hardware over and over, this is inexcusable for a product released in 2022. Not technically a 360 speaker, only front and rear.
