The Pulse 5’s light show is cool, though it is not synced to the music like the Pulse 2, and its bass is not quite as deep as others. The Motion 100 needs Oluv’s EQ for the flattest response and has not very deep bass with slight distortion.
Buy the JBL Pulse 5, since the Soundcore Motion 100 is discontinued and only worth hunting down used.

Pros: Use Oluv’s EQ for the flattest response. Measured bass extension of 65Hz (-10dB).
Cons: Not very deep bass, slight distortion. Real-world battery falls well short of the 12-hour claim at higher volumes (closer to 4 hours at max). Charging takes about 5 hours; no charge-out for other devices. Discontinued and no longer sold new.

Its 1500 g, claimed 12 hours (Manufacturer specified) battery life, IP67 protection and mono playback make it a practical option for its intended room or portable use. A cool light show, though it is not synced to the music like the Pulse 2. Measured bass extension of ~58Hz (-10dB).
Cons: Bass is limited by its ~58Hz specification. Bass does not reach as deep as others, and the plastic scratches easily.
