Short answer: the W-King T9. It ranks #50 of 105 large speakers by sound quality (rated 3.6/5) at $111.23 and is still sold new; the JBL Xtreme 2 ranks #60 (rated 3.4/5) and is discontinued, so it is only an option used. The JBL Xtreme 2’s replacement, the JBL Xtreme 5, is rated 4.6/5 at $349.99.
The W-King T9 is the louder, deeper-bass pick. 80W output power, 106dB max volume, 24-hour battery life, power bank function, Bluetooth 5.3 with 100ft range, TWS stereo pairing with wireless microphone, dual subwoofers, RGB lighting, MicroSD and AUX support, USB-C charging, karaoke capability. Its bass reaches about 47Hz before falling 10dB, against 54Hz for the JBL Xtreme 2. Alan Ross Reviews measured it at 106dB at full volume, against 98dB for the JBL Xtreme 2. It is rated for 24 hours of battery against 15 for the JBL Xtreme 2. The tradeoff: Peaks in the upper mids which makes it sound a bit harsh.
The JBL Xtreme 2 is the lighter, tougher choice. Four drivers with refined bass balance, closer to studio monitors than typical portables. At 5.3 lbs (2.4 kg) it weighs much less than the W-King T9 at 10.1 lbs (4.6 kg). It is rated IPX7, while the W-King T9 has no water resistance. It links with other speakers (Connect+ up to 100 speakers), which the W-King T9 cannot. Watch for: External AC power brick for charging.
Buy the W-King T9. It is rated higher for sound quality; the JBL Xtreme 2 is no longer sold new.
