Tronsmart Bang 2 vs Zealot MT01M

Last updated: October 11, 2026

Short answer: the Tronsmart Bang 2. Both are rated 3.6/5 for sound quality (#53 and #48 of 103 large speakers), and the Tronsmart Bang 2 costs $109.99 against $119.99 for the Zealot MT01M, so with nothing between them on sound quality, price settles it.

Tronsmart Bang 2 vs Zealot MT01M

The Tronsmart Bang 2 is the lighter option. At 5.8 lbs (2.63 kg) it weighs noticeably less than the Zealot MT01M at 8 lbs (3.65 kg). The catch: Verdicts against the Soundcore Boom 2 and the Tribit Stormbox Lava were split: Dominik Reviews preferred the Soundcore Boom 2, and several listeners found the Bang 2’s mids muffled and its highs subdued without custom EQ.

What the Zealot MT01M does well: 60W of claimed output from a 24000mAh battery is generous for a portable this size, and the one-woofer-plus-two-tweeter layout is a real stereo arrangement rather than a single full-range driver. The catch: Every performance number here is a manufacturer claim: no independent measurements exist, so real loudness, the 60W rating and the 20Hz bass extension are unverified and should be treated cautiously.

Buy the Tronsmart Bang 2. Both are rated the same for sound quality, and it costs $10 less than the Zealot MT01M.

Tronsmart Bang 2 ranking card

Pros: In Jagist’s side by side tests, the Bang 2 (after its firmware update) was picked over the Soundcore Boom 2 and over the JBL Xtreme 5, which distorted at high volume, and it kept its bass above 40% volume where the Tribit Stormbox Lava fell apart. Listeners also mostly preferred it to the JBL Xtreme 4. A racetrack woofer, two tweeters and two passive radiators are rated for 90W and 105dB. Tronsmart rates the battery at 26 hours at half volume with the lights off, and it adds IPX6 water resistance, a handle plus a detachable shoulder strap, app EQ, light effects, stereo and multi-speaker pairing, aux, TF card and USB playback, and a USB-C power bank.

Cons: Verdicts against the Soundcore Boom 2 and the Tribit Stormbox Lava were split: Dominik Reviews preferred the Soundcore Boom 2, and several listeners found the Bang 2’s mids muffled and its highs subdued without custom EQ. Next to the Tronsmart Fiitune X30 it turned into a jumble of sound near full volume, and the EarFun Uboom X clearly beat it. It needed a firmware update to sound its best, and at 2.63 kg it is heavy for its size.

Zealot MT01M ranking card

Pros: 60W of claimed output from a 24000mAh battery is generous for a portable this size, and the one-woofer-plus-two-tweeter layout is a real stereo arrangement rather than a single full-range driver. A published 20Hz - 20kHz range suggests bass extension is at least the design goal, aided by the rear acoustic duct. The set includes two wireless microphones with self-reverberation, plus hands-on bass and treble knobs, AUX, USB-drive and microSD playback, TWS pairing for a stereo pair, and a leather-look strap for carrying. Techder Audios found it clearer than the similarly priced Mlove A200.

Cons: Every performance number here is a manufacturer claim: no independent measurements exist, so real loudness, the 60W rating and the 20Hz bass extension are unverified and should be treated cautiously. No IP rating is published, making rain or poolside use a gamble, and neither playtime nor charging time is stated despite the large battery and 60W draw. At 3.65 kg gross it is a two-hand carry, there is no app control or EQ beyond the knobs, and driver sizes and Bluetooth codecs go unstated.
