Zealot MT01M vs Zealot S79

Last updated: October 11, 2026

Short answer: the Zealot S79. Both are rated 3.6/5 for sound quality (#49 and #48 of 103 large speakers), and the Zealot S79 costs $106.97 against $119.99 for the Zealot MT01M, and with sound quality even, the cheaper one is the better buy.

Zealot MT01M vs Zealot S79

What the Zealot MT01M does well: 60W of claimed output from a 24000mAh battery is generous for a portable this size, and the one-woofer-plus-two-tweeter layout is a real stereo arrangement rather than a single full-range driver. The tradeoff: Every performance number here is a manufacturer claim: no independent measurements exist, so real loudness, the 60W rating and the 20Hz bass extension are unverified and should be treated cautiously.

Why pick the Zealot S79: Loud with plenty of bass and a wider soundstage than the JBL Xtreme 3, which it beats at full volume. The catch: At moderate volume the JBL Xtreme 3 is cleaner and more balanced, and one reviewer preferred the JBL Xtreme 4 in every way.

Buy the Zealot S79. Both are rated the same for sound quality, and it costs $13.02 less than the Zealot MT01M.

Pros: 60W of claimed output from a 24000mAh battery is generous for a portable this size, and the one-woofer-plus-two-tweeter layout is a real stereo arrangement rather than a single full-range driver. A published 20Hz - 20kHz range suggests bass extension is at least the design goal, aided by the rear acoustic duct. The set includes two wireless microphones with self-reverberation, plus hands-on bass and treble knobs, AUX, USB-drive and microSD playback, TWS pairing for a stereo pair, and a leather-look strap for carrying. Techder Audios found it clearer than the similarly priced Mlove A200.

Cons: Every performance number here is a manufacturer claim: no independent measurements exist, so real loudness, the 60W rating and the 20Hz bass extension are unverified and should be treated cautiously. No IP rating is published, making rain or poolside use a gamble, and neither playtime nor charging time is stated despite the large battery and 60W draw. At 3.65 kg gross it is a two-hand carry, there is no app control or EQ beyond the knobs, and driver sizes and Bluetooth codecs go unstated.

Pros: Loud with plenty of bass and a wider soundstage than the JBL Xtreme 3, which it beats at full volume. A huge 24,000mAh battery with a claimed 50+ hours doubles as a power bank, and it adds RGB lights, a shoulder strap, EQ modes and stereo pairing.

Cons: At moderate volume the JBL Xtreme 3 is cleaner and more balanced, and one reviewer preferred the JBL Xtreme 4 in every way. Its bass boost mode sounds muddy and can distort past about 70% volume, so it is best left on the normal EQ. The Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 8 digs deeper in the bass.
