The Tribit Xsound Plus 2 is the better-sounding, deeper-bass pick. Its bass reaches about 55Hz before falling 10dB, against 67Hz for the Sony XB23. It supports LDAC Bluetooth, which the Tribit Xsound Plus 2 lacks. It links with other speakers (Party Connect up to 100 speakers), which the Tribit Xsound Plus 2 cannot. Watch for: Bass drops off a ton at high levels.
Buy the Tribit Xsound Plus 2. It is rated higher for sound quality, and the Sony XB23 is discontinued, so it is only available used.
If water resistance matters to you, the Tribit Xsound Plus 2 at IPX7 (brief submersion) holds up far better than the Sony XB23 at IPX4 (splashing).
