Short answer: the JBL Grip, if you are buying new. The Tribit Xsound Mega ranks higher than it (#21 vs #99 of 175 medium speakers, 4.1/5 vs 3.1/5) but is discontinued, so only consider it used; the JBL Grip is still sold new at $99.95.
The Tribit Xsound Mega is the better-sounding, deeper-bass option. Deepest bass of any medium size speaker. Its bass reaches about 47Hz before falling 10dB, against 68Hz for the JBL Grip. It is rated for 20 hours of battery against 14 for the JBL Grip. It keeps a wired aux input, which the JBL Grip lacks. The catch: Single driver, not stereo.
The JBL Grip is the lighter choice. Ambient light on the back with settable themes. At 0.8 lbs (385 g) it weighs much less than the Tribit Xsound Mega at 2.2 lbs (1.02 kg). The catch: Lacking deeper bass, definitely the worst of the JBL line until you get to the smaller clip.
Buy the JBL Grip if you want one new; the Tribit Xsound Mega is discontinued, so only look for it used.

Pros: Deepest bass of any medium size speaker. Use xbass mode for flattest frequency response. Measured bass extension of 47Hz (-10dB).
Cons: Single driver, not stereo. Lack of detail. Lack of upper treble, peaky lower treble. Not great off axis. Keep in mind this speaker gives up some sound quality for deeper bass. Discontinued.
