JBL Grip Specifications and Review

Last updated: August 16, 2026

The JBL Grip ranks #75 out of 136 total Medium Size Portable Bluetooth Speakers for sound quality. See Top Recommended Speakers By Attribute for all the top speaker suggestions.

Brand: JBL

#75 JBL Grip: $99.95 Amazon Bhphotovideo

Pros: Ambient light on the back with settable themes

Cons: Lacking deeper bass, definitely the worst of the JBL line until you get to the smaller clip. Not as much clarity as higher ranked speakers, rolled off highs and wavy midrange

Setup: EQ from Oluv in his post can help it a bit but still isn’t very neutral

How it compares: Just above it: Tronsmart Mirtune S100 - $36 cheaper, 6 more hours of battery life. Just below it: Sony ULT Field 1 - $38 more, 2 fewer hours of battery life.
