Short answer: the JBL Grip for better sound quality, the Klipsch Groove for the lower price. The JBL Grip ranks #89 of 157 medium speakers, rated 3.1/5, at $99.95. The Klipsch Groove ranks #105, rated 2.8/5, at $9, $90.95 cheaper.
The JBL Grip is the better-sounding, longer-running choice. Ambient light on the back with settable themes. It is rated for 14 hours of battery against 8 for the Klipsch Groove. At 0.8 lbs (385 g) it weighs much less than the Klipsch Groove at 1.7 lbs (770 g). It is rated IP68 against IPX4 for the Klipsch Groove. Watch for: Lacking deeper bass, definitely the worst of the JBL line until you get to the smaller clip.
Why pick the Klipsch Groove: Pretty balanced sound in a compact, splash-resistant form factor. It supports AAC Bluetooth, which the JBL Grip lacks. It keeps a wired aux input, which the JBL Grip lacks. The tradeoff: Bass doesn’t go as deep as class leaders.
Buy the JBL Grip if sound quality is the priority over the price, or the Klipsch Groove if the price is the priority over sound quality.

JBL Grip: $99.95 Amazon B&H Photo Video eBay
Pros: Ambient light on the back with settable themes. Measured bass extension of ~68Hz (-10dB).
Cons: Lacking deeper bass, definitely the worst of the JBL line until you get to the smaller clip. Not as much clarity as higher ranked speakers, rolled off highs and wavy midrange
Setup: EQ from Oluv in his post can help it a bit but still isn’t very neutral
