Short answer: the JBL Flip 7 for better sound quality, the JBL Grip for the lower price. The JBL Flip 7 ranks #14 of 136 medium speakers at $129.95. The JBL Grip ranks #75 at $99.95, $30 cheaper.
What the JBL Flip 7 gets right: A very neutral speaker, very small, almost pocket size. Just slightly more treble than the Flip 6 which was already a great speaker. The tradeoff: A little bit of a bump at 4khz, not quite as neutral as the FLip 6. I believe this one is slightly worse than the Flip 6.
What the JBL Grip offers: Ambient light on the back with settable themes. Watch for: Lacking deeper bass, definitely the worst of the JBL line until you get to the smaller clip.
Buy the JBL Flip 7 if sound quality matters more than the price. Buy the JBL Grip if the price matters more than sound quality.

JBL Grip: $99.95 Amazon Bhphotovideo eBay
Pros: Ambient light on the back with settable themes
Cons: Lacking deeper bass, definitely the worst of the JBL line until you get to the smaller clip. Not as much clarity as higher ranked speakers, rolled off highs and wavy midrange
Setup: EQ from Oluv in his post can help it a bit but still isn’t very neutral
