Short answer: the Tribit Stormbox Flow. It ranks #62 of 175 medium speakers by sound quality, rated 3.5/5, at $79.99. The JBL Grip ranks #99, rated 3.1/5, at $69.95, $10.04 cheaper, a saving that is not big enough to make up the sound-quality gap.
The Tribit Stormbox Flow is the better-sounding, deeper-bass choice. Up to 30 hours of battery life: roughly double most rivals (~20-24 hrs with XBass on). Its bass reaches about 47Hz before falling 10dB, against 68Hz for the JBL Grip. It is rated for 30 hours of battery against 14 for the JBL Grip. It supports AAC Bluetooth, which the JBL Grip lacks. The tradeoff: Midrange and bass are weirdly recessed about 4db below 700Hz.
The JBL Grip is the lighter choice. Ambient light on the back with settable themes. At 0.8 lbs (385 g) it weighs much less than the Tribit Stormbox Flow at 1.4 lbs (657 g). The catch: Lacking deeper bass, definitely the worst of the JBL line until you get to the smaller clip.
Buy the Tribit Stormbox Flow. It is rated higher for sound quality, and the $10.04 you would save on the JBL Grip does not close the gap.

Pros: Up to 30 hours of battery life: roughly double most rivals (~20-24 hrs with XBass on). IP67 rated with a loose handle for carrying/hanging. Pairs with a second Flow for stereo; USB-C port charges your phone too. Measured bass extension of 47Hz (-10dB).
Cons: Not stereo. Midrange and bass are weirdly recessed about 4db below 700Hz. You need xbass mode for it to not sound like a clock radio with missing bass. You also can’t turn up the bass enough in the custom EQ modes to get it neutral, so it will sound bass light. Firmware 1.2.3 fixes the distortion issues with xbass mode on, but bass still sounds wobbly and uncontrolled.
