The Bose Soundlink Revolve+ is the better-sounding, deeper-bass option. True 360° sound stays consistent no matter where you stand. Its bass reaches about 56Hz before falling 10dB, against 68Hz for the JBL Grip. It keeps a wired aux input, which the JBL Grip lacks. The tradeoff: Overly boosted bass, warm sounding.
The JBL Grip is the lighter, tougher pick. Ambient light on the back with settable themes. At 0.8 lbs (385 g) it weighs much less than the Bose Soundlink Revolve+ at 2 lbs (910 g). It is rated IP68 against IP55 for the Bose Soundlink Revolve+. It has an adjustable EQ, which the Bose Soundlink Revolve+ lacks. Watch for: Lacking deeper bass, definitely the worst of the JBL line until you get to the smaller clip.
Buy the JBL Grip if price matters most. For better sound quality, the Bose Soundlink Revolve+ II, the replacement for the discontinued Bose Soundlink Revolve+, is rated higher but costs $299.
