Short answer: the Tribit Xsound Mega wins on bass, the JBL Charge 5 Wifi on connectivity. The Mega has the deepest bass of any medium size speaker and its xbass mode gives the flattest frequency response, but it is a single driver, not stereo, and lacks detail and upper treble. The Charge 5 Wifi adds Wifi while sounding exactly the same as the non-Wifi version, though it is warm, shouty in the upper mids and rolled off in the treble.
Buy the JBL Charge 5 Wifi new; the Tribit Xsound Mega is no longer sold new, so it only makes sense as a used find.
