It plays in stereo from a single unit, unlike the Ultimate Ears Roll 2. It charges over USB-C rather than Micro USB. Watch for: Not a great sounding speaker, really weak bass.
The Ultimate Ears Roll 2 is the lighter choice. Thin, flat profile fits easily in a bag or purse. At 0.7 lbs (330 g) it weighs much less than the Tribit Stormbox Mini+ at 1.2 lbs (544 g). The tradeoff: Barely any bass, rolled off treble off axis.
Buy the Tribit Stormbox Mini+. It is rated higher for sound quality and still sold new, while the Ultimate Ears Roll 2 is discontinued.
