The Sony SRS-XP500 is the lighter pick. 20W 3-way speaker system with dual passive radiators, well-balanced sound (clear highs, detailed mids, punchy bass). At 24.7 lbs (11.2 kg) it weighs noticeably less than the W-King T12 at 33.1 lbs (15 kg). It supports LDAC Bluetooth, which the W-King T12 lacks. It links with other speakers (Party Connect up to 100 speakers), which the W-King T12 cannot. The tradeoff: Not as loud and bass not as deep as a JBL Partybox 100 or JBL Partybox 110.

Cons: Reviewer comparisons find the tuning boxy and less clear than the better-ranked party speakers, so its size and quoted power do not automatically translate to refined sound. It is a 15kg, 75cm-tall speaker with no water rating and no app; the physical tone controls are its only meaningful way to adjust the sound.
