The Soundcore Motion X500 is the better-sounding, deeper-bass option. 40W stereo with 3-driver layout (two tweeters + woofer). Its bass reaches about 48Hz before falling 10dB, against 54Hz for the Sony SRS-XG300. At 4.6 lbs (2.1 kg) it weighs noticeably less than the Sony SRS-XG300 at 6.6 lbs (3 kg). It supports LDAC Bluetooth, which the Sony SRS-XG300 lacks. Watch for: A little bright on top, a custom EQ can flatten things out a bit.
The Sony SRS-XG300 is the longer-running pick. IP67 dust/waterproof rating. It is rated for 25 hours of battery against 12 for the Soundcore Motion X500. It links with other speakers (Party Connect up to 100 speakers), which the Soundcore Motion X500 cannot. The catch: Overly expensive.
Buy the Soundcore Motion X500. It is rated higher for sound quality and still sold new, while the Sony SRS-XG300 is discontinued.

Pros: IP67 dust/waterproof rating. Bluetooth 5.2 with multipoint pairing, LDAC codec support. Retractable carry handle for easy portability. Big boomy bass-forward sound, excellent for parties. Fast-charging: 10 minutes gives 70 minutes playback. Stamina mode optimizes battery. Measured bass extension of 54Hz (-10dB).
Cons: Overly expensive. Bass not as deep as competitors. Upper mids peak. Hollow sounding. Rolled off treble. Not much clarity. Does not float. Speaker will not remain at max volume and will turn itself down automatically. Discontinued.
