The JBL Partybox Encore is the better-sounding, deeper-bass pick. A great sounding party speaker with somewhat boosted bass and two included wireless microphones. Its bass reaches about 38Hz before falling 10dB, against 60Hz for the W-King D10. Alan Ross Reviews measured it at 110dB at full volume, against 106dB for the W-King D10. It links with other speakers (PartyBoost up to 100 speakers), which the W-King D10 cannot. The tradeoff: Only IPX4 splash resistance.
The W-King D10 is the longer-running, lighter choice. 70W RMS output with 120W peak power, exceptional 42-hour battery life, power bank function, IPX6 waterproof, 106dB max volume, EQ and bass boost, microphone input for karaoke, MicroSD card support, USB playback, TWS pairing. It is rated for 42 hours of battery against 6 for the JBL Partybox Encore. At 7.9 lbs (3.6 kg) it weighs much less than the JBL Partybox Encore at 13.9 lbs (6.3 kg). It is rated IPX6 against IPX4 for the JBL Partybox Encore. Watch for: Upper bass boost, bass not that deep.
Buy the JBL Partybox Encore 2, the replacement for the discontinued JBL Partybox Encore; it is rated higher for sound quality than the W-King D10.
