#23 Shanling UP4 Discontinued eBay
Pros: It is a pocket Bluetooth receiver with a battery, so it frees your wired headphones from the phone cable, and it supports LDAC, LHDC, aptX HD, aptX LL, aptX, AAC and SBC. Battery life is rated at 15 hours single ended or 10 hours balanced, and it adds a 2.5 mm balanced output alongside 3.5 mm. Shanling rates it at 160 mW into 32 ohms balanced, enough for in ear monitors and many easy headphones.
Cons: Audio Science Review measured a SINAD of only 84 dB, a real audible weakness that can show up as hiss and noise, especially with sensitive in ear monitors. It is no longer sold new, and the Hidizs S3 Pro and HELM Bolt both rate higher with much cleaner measurements of 101 and 100 dB.
