The Soundcore Motion X500 is the better-sounding, deeper-bass pick. 40W stereo with 3-driver layout (two tweeters + woofer). Its bass reaches about 48Hz before falling 10dB, against 64Hz for the Ultimate Ears Megablast. It supports LDAC Bluetooth, which the Ultimate Ears Megablast lacks. It has an adjustable EQ, which the Ultimate Ears Megablast lacks. The catch: A little bright on top, a custom EQ can flatten things out a bit.
The Ultimate Ears Megablast is the longer-running, lighter choice. Alexa integration (Wi-Fi + Bluetooth). It is rated for 16 hours of battery against 12 for the Soundcore Motion X500. At 2.4 lbs (1.1 kg) it weighs much less than the Soundcore Motion X500 at 4.6 lbs (2.1 kg). The tradeoff: Bass is not very deep compared to the competition.
Buy the Soundcore Motion X500. It is rated higher for sound quality, and the Ultimate Ears Megablast is discontinued, so it is only available used.
