The JBL Boombox is the better-sounding pick. Claimed 24 hours (manufacturer specified) battery life, ipx5 protection and stereo playback make its feature set practical for its intended room or portable use. It links with other speakers (Connect+ up to 100 speakers), which the W-King X10-1 cannot. The tradeoff: Treble is not very smooth.

The W-King X10-1 is the longer-running, lighter option. It is rated for 42 hours of battery against 24 for the JBL Boombox. At 6.5 lbs (2.95 kg) it weighs much less than the JBL Boombox at 11.5 lbs (5.2 kg). It has an adjustable EQ, which the JBL Boombox lacks. Watch for: Rolled off treble, not much bass.
