Short answer: the Fosi Audio K7. It ranks #26 of 43 DAC and headphone amp combos by measured performance, rated 4.1/5, at $199.99; the xDuoo DM-01 ranks #41, rated 2.4/5, and costs $279, so there is little reason to consider the other one.
The Fosi Audio K7 is the better-sounding option. Audio Science Review measured a SINAD of 116 dB, so its noise and distortion are inaudible. The catch: Fosi Audio doesn’t publish a 32 ohm power figure, so its headroom for hard to drive headphones is unclear.
What the xDuoo DM-01 does well: It supports a long list of Bluetooth codecs, including LDAC, aptX Adaptive and LC3, alongside USB-C. It supports LDAC Bluetooth, which the Fosi Audio K7 lacks. The tradeoff: Audio Science Review measured just 38 dB SINAD, a severe and audible level of noise and distortion.
Buy the Fosi Audio K7. It is rated higher than the xDuoo DM-01 and costs less, which makes it the one to get unless you need something the other one does better.

Fosi Audio K7: $199.99 Amazon eBay
Pros: Audio Science Review measured a SINAD of 116 dB, so its noise and distortion are inaudible. It is unusually flexible for the money, with USB, optical, coaxial and Bluetooth inputs (SBC, aptX HD, aptX LL), RCA line out, a 4.4 mm balanced headphone jack, a microphone input and bass and treble knobs.
Cons: Fosi Audio doesn’t publish a 32 ohm power figure, so its headroom for hard to drive headphones is unclear. The SMSL DS20 rates higher for a little less, and the Fosi Audio SK02 rates slightly higher for much less. Its Bluetooth lacks AAC and LDAC.

xDuoo DM-01: $279.00 Amazon eBay
Pros: It supports a long list of Bluetooth codecs, including LDAC, aptX Adaptive and LC3, alongside USB-C. A rated 1.5 W into 32 ohms is enough power on paper for most planar magnetic headphones.
Cons: Audio Science Review measured just 38 dB SINAD, a severe and audible level of noise and distortion. There is only a single unbalanced 6.35 mm output, and the Loxjie D30 rates far higher and measures transparent for much less.
