Fosi Audio K7 vs Neutron HiFi DAC V1

Last updated: October 11, 2026

Short answer: the Fosi Audio K7. It ranks #26 of 43 DAC and headphone amp combos by measured performance, rated 4.1/5, at $199.99. The Neutron HiFi DAC V1 ranks #33, rated 3.7/5, at $177, $22.99 cheaper, which does not close the gap in measured performance.

Fosi Audio K7 vs Neutron HiFi DAC V1

The Fosi Audio K7 is the better-sounding choice. Audio Science Review measured a SINAD of 116 dB, so its noise and distortion are inaudible. The catch: Fosi Audio doesn’t publish a 32 ohm power figure, so its headroom for hard to drive headphones is unclear.

Why pick the Neutron HiFi DAC V1: Audio Science Review measured a SINAD of 111 dB, clean for nearly all listening, and at 0 lbs (13 g) it is a tiny USB-C dongle. The tradeoff: Neutron doesn’t publish a power figure into 32 ohms, and it has only a 3.5 mm output with no balanced option.

Buy the Fosi Audio K7. It is rated higher, and saving $22.99 with the Neutron HiFi DAC V1 does not make up for the sound-quality gap.
