DAC and Headphone Amp Combos

Ranked #34 of 59 in DAC and Headphone Amp Combos - FX-Audio DAC-M1 eBay

FX-Audio DAC-M1 ranking card

Pros: Audio Science Review measured a SINAD of 110 dB, which is clean for nearly all listening. The maker rates it at 500 mW into 32 ohms and 96 mW into 300 ohms, enough for most headphones and many planar magnetic models. It accepts USB, optical, coaxial and Bluetooth 5.0 with aptX HD and aptX LL, with separate volume controls for the headphone jack and RCA output.

Cons: It has only a single ended 6.35 mm headphone jack, with no balanced output. Its Bluetooth lacks LDAC and AAC, which matters for iPhone users. The Khadas Tone2 Pro earns the same rating with a much cleaner measured SINAD and a balanced output.

Ranked #49 of 55 in DACs - FX-Audio DAC-SQ3 eBay

FX-Audio DAC-SQ3 ranking card

Pros: Audio Science Review measured a SINAD of 108 dB, which is clean for nearly all listening. It has an adjustable RCA output for driving powered speakers and passes the USB signal on to optical and coaxial outputs for other gear. Its compact 98 mm wide case fits easily on a desk.

Cons: USB is the only input, so it cannot take optical, coaxial or Bluetooth sources, and there is no balanced output or headphone output. Its SINAD is lower than the Topping D10s, which also rates higher, though the difference is not audible.
