#29 Flux Lab Acoustics FA-12 Discontinued eBay
Pros: Audio Science Review measured a SINAD of 117 dB, so its noise and distortion are inaudible and it is transparent in practice. It has a balanced output and a 64 step relay attenuator for precise, even volume steps.
Cons: It is no longer sold new, and Flux Lab Acoustics doesn’t publish a power figure into 32 ohms, so its ability to drive hard headphones is unclear. Many amps in this ranking rate higher, including the FiiO K5, which also publishes a 1.5 W rating.
