Teufel Rockster Air 2 vs Marshall Bromley 750

Last updated: October 10, 2026

These are not really the same size class, and that is the honest framing here. The Teufel Rockster Air 2 ranks #5 of 15 battery-powered PA speakers by sound quality at $499.99; the Marshall Bromley 750 ranks #13 of 13 large party speakers by sound quality at $999.99.

Teufel Rockster Air 2 vs Marshall Bromley 750

The Teufel Rockster Air 2 is the longer-running option. More consistent off-axis sound than the JBL Partybox 130, thanks to its single horn-loaded compression driver. It is rated for 58 hours of battery against 40 for the Marshall Bromley 750. It supports aptX HD Bluetooth, which the Marshall Bromley 750 lacks. The tradeoff: Bass isn’t as deep as the JBL Partybox 130’s boosted bass, though the JBL’s is boomy rather than truly deep.

The Marshall Bromley 750 is the tougher pick. Much wider, more consistent off-axis dispersion than the JBL Partybox 720, which only fires forward: the Marshall’s standout feature, sounding about the same from any angle. It is rated IP54, while the Teufel Rockster Air 2 has no water resistance. It has an adjustable EQ, which the Teufel Rockster Air 2 lacks. Watch for: Not as deep bass as the JBL Partybox 330 or JBL Partybox 720.

Buy the Teufel Rockster Air 2 ($499.99) for a battery-powered PA speaker; the Marshall Bromley 750 ($999.99) suits a large party speaker instead.

Teufel Rockster Air 2 ranking card

Older model: the Teufel Rockster Air (ranked lower, rated 3.4/5). See every Teufel Rockster Air generation.

Pros: More consistent off-axis sound than the JBL Partybox 130, thanks to its single horn-loaded compression driver. Projects sound more evenly to the sides, unlike the JBL’s narrower front-firing dispersion. Cleaner instrument separation at high volume than the JBL Partybox 130, which turns anemic and loses bass at max volume despite its bass boost.

Cons: Bass isn’t as deep as the JBL Partybox 130’s boosted bass, though the JBL’s is boomy rather than truly deep. Bass and treble aren’t perfectly controlled at maximum volume: can sound hollow or too bright unless turned down from default. Not meaningfully louder than its 3-year-old predecessor, and the reviewer found the overall tuning a bit worse.

Marshall Bromley 750: $999.99 Amazon eBay

Marshall Bromley 750 ranking card

Same family: the Marshall Bromley 150 (smaller model, estimated 3.8/5) and the Marshall Bromley 450 (smaller model, rated 3.7/5).

Pros: Much wider, more consistent off-axis dispersion than the JBL Partybox 720, which only fires forward: the Marshall’s standout feature, sounding about the same from any angle.

Cons: Not as deep bass as the JBL Partybox 330 or JBL Partybox 720. Not a great frequency response overall, with some midrange peaks. Only basic bass/treble controls, no full custom EQ like the JBL Partybox 720’s app. Default bass (dynamic mode) is overdone out of the box and needs trimming.
