Same family: the RCF NX 910-A (smaller model, rated 3.5/5), the RCF NX 912-A (smaller model, rated 4/5), the RCF NX 932-A (smaller model, rated 4.2/5) and the RCF NX 915-A (smaller model, ranked lower, rated 3.6/5).

Pros: A loud powered 15 inch PA speaker in a plywood cabinet with wide coverage and onboard processing that keeps bass tidy. The top NX-series 15-inch box pairs a plywood cabinet with a 135dB claimed peak, the highest in the NX range, and a wide 100° x 70° pattern. RCF’s FiRPHASE and Bass Motion Control processing carry over from the smaller NX models. Measured bass extension of 65Hz (-3dB).

Cons: The measurement is truncated and does not produce a preference score, so its tonal position relies on published engineering rather than a confirmed result. At 27.3kg it is heavier than the RCF ART 945-A alternative.

Frequency Response

How the RCF NX 945-A measures across the audible range. A flatter listening window (the sound arriving straight at you) is more neutral: peaks sound forward or harsh, dips sound recessed. The estimated in-room response adds what a typical room does, and there a gentle, even tilt down toward the treble is ideal. Both curves are shifted so their 300 Hz to 3 kHz average sits at 0 dB.

EQ for a Neutral Response

No EQ preset: the best simple EQ we can fit to these measurements improves the predicted preference score by less than 0.2. The listening window is already close to flat, and what holds the score back, such as narrow ripple in the response or uneven output off-axis, is not something EQ can fix without making it worse elsewhere.
