Short answer: these RCF NX 945-A and RCF ART 745-A MK4 alternatives share a brand and size class, but their coverage, driver architecture, cabinet format, processing, and output priorities can make them fit very different jobs. The RCF ART 745-A MK4 is discontinued; its replacement is the RCF ART 745-A MK5.
Why choose the RCF NX 945-A. The top NX-series 15-inch box pairs a plywood cabinet with a 135dB claimed peak, the highest in the NX range, and a wide 100° x 70° pattern. RCF’s FiRPHASE and Bass Motion Control processing carry over from the smaller NX models.
Why choose the RCF ART 745-A MK4. The largest ART7 compression driver, 133dB claimed peak and a light 41.4 lbs (18.8 kg) enclosure give this discontinued flagship useful vocal headroom for a 15-inch box.
What to weigh before buying. The measurement is truncated and does not produce a preference score, so its tonal position relies on published engineering rather than a confirmed result. At 60.2 lbs (27.3 kg) it is heavier than the ART 945-A alternative. The low-quality vendor data is truncated and does not yield a preference score. It is discontinued and is eclipsed by the better-supported ART 745-A MK5.
Buy the RCF NX 945-A when its stated coverage, output, processing, and deployment format best match the job.
Buy the RCF ART 745-A MK4 when its stated strengths are the better match for the room and the rest of the PA.

Frequency Response Compared
Both speakers’ spinorama measurements, overlaid. A flatter line is more neutral: peaks sound forward or harsh, dips sound recessed. Each curve is shifted so its average from 300 Hz to 3 kHz sits at 0 dB, so loudness differences between the two are removed and only the shape is compared.
