EarFun Uboom 360 vs Tribit Stormbox

Last updated: October 10, 2026

Short answer: both are discontinued, so this only matters if you are buying used. Used, the EarFun Uboom 360 is the better pick: it ranks #34 of 166 medium speakers by sound quality (rated 3.9/5), against #116 (rated 2.8/5) for the Tribit Stormbox. If you want one new, the Tribit Stormbox 2 replaces the Tribit Stormbox and is rated 3.0/5 at $70.

EarFun Uboom 360 vs Tribit Stormbox

The EarFun Uboom 360 is the better-sounding, louder option. Similar to the Tribit Maxsound Plus in sound, likely uses the same drivers. Alan Ross Reviews measured it at 100dB at full volume, against 97dB for the Tribit Stormbox. The tradeoff: Slightly rolled off treble, not as deep of bass as the best in category.

The Tribit Stormbox is the deeper-bass choice. IPX7 water resistant, dual pairing for stereo setup, excellent battery life (20 hours), instant on/off buttons, 97dB max volume. Its bass reaches about 52Hz before falling 10dB, against 61Hz for the EarFun Uboom 360. It keeps a wired aux input, which the EarFun Uboom 360 lacks. Watch for: Muffled sounding, treble dips from 5kHz-12kHz.

Buy the EarFun Uboom 360 only if you find one used in good condition; both are discontinued, and it is the better rated of the two. For a new speaker, buy the Tribit Stormbox 2, which replaces the Tribit Stormbox.
