W-King T9 vs Onn Large Party gen 1

Last updated: October 10, 2026

These are not really the same size class, and that is the honest framing here. The W-King T9 ranks #50 of 103 large speakers by sound quality at $130; the Onn Large Party gen 1 ranks #34 of 46 party speakers by sound quality at $100.

W-King T9 vs Onn Large Party gen 1

The W-King T9 is the deeper-bass, longer-running choice. 80W output power, 106dB max volume, 24-hour battery life, power bank function, Bluetooth 5.3 with 100ft range, TWS stereo pairing with wireless microphone, dual subwoofers, RGB lighting, MicroSD and AUX support, USB-C charging, karaoke capability. Its bass reaches about 47Hz before falling 10dB, against 60Hz for the Onn Large Party gen 1. It is rated for 24 hours of battery against 13 for the Onn Large Party gen 1. At 10.1 lbs (4.6 kg) it weighs much less than the Onn Large Party gen 1 at 23.1 lbs (10.5 kg). Watch for: Peaks in the upper mids which makes it sound a bit harsh.

What the Onn Large Party gen 1 does well: A genuinely useful feature set for a compact party speaker: FM radio, 3.5mm aux, USB-A phone charging, a mic/guitar input, lights, and Party Sync pairing. It links with other speakers (Party Sync Mode), which the W-King T9 cannot. The catch: Sound is not a strong reason to seek one out.

One note: the Onn Large Party gen 1 is no longer in production and isn’t widely stocked new anymore. The Onn Large Party gen 1’s replacement, the Onn Large Party gen 2, is still sold new.

Buy the W-King T9 ($130) for a large speaker; the Onn Large Party gen 1 ($100) suits a party speaker instead.

Onn Large Party gen 1 ranking card

Newer model: the Onn Large Party gen 2, ranked higher, rated 3.9/5, released May 2023. It drops stereo pairing. Water resistance goes from no IP rating to IPX4. See every Onn Large Party generation.

Pros: A genuinely useful feature set for a compact party speaker: FM radio, 3.5mm aux, USB-A phone charging, a mic/guitar input, lights, and Party Sync pairing. Its rolling 10.5kg cabinet, carry handle and claimed 13-hour battery make it easy to take to casual outdoor gatherings, and it can play louder than a typical small Bluetooth speaker. Measured bass extension of ~60Hz (-10dB).

Cons: Sound is not a strong reason to seek one out. Reviewer comparisons find limited deep bass (about 60Hz at -10dB), uneven mids and a boxy, strained presentation at high volume. It has no app or EQ, no water rating, and is discontinued; the newer Onn Large Party gen 2 is the more sensible choice when available.
