Soundcore Motion Boom+ vs Soundcore Rave Neo

Last updated: October 10, 2026

These are not really the same size class, and that is the honest framing here. The Soundcore Motion Boom+ ranks #63 of 91 boombox speakers by sound quality at $122.42; the Soundcore Rave Neo ranks #89 of 103 large speakers by sound quality at $80. Both are rated below 3.0/5 for their class (91 boombox speakers and 103 large speakers), so if sound quality matters, look higher up the rankings.

Soundcore Motion Boom+ vs Soundcore Rave Neo

The Soundcore Motion Boom+ is the deeper-bass, lighter pick. 80W stereo from dual 30W woofers + dual 10W tweeters with titanium drivers for treble clarity. Its bass reaches about 52Hz before falling 10dB, against 60Hz for the Soundcore Rave Neo. At 5.3 lbs (2.4 kg) it weighs noticeably less than the Soundcore Rave Neo at 7.7 lbs (3.49 kg). The catch: Default presets are all warm sounding with rolled off treble.

Why pick the Soundcore Rave Neo: 50W powerful bass-heavy sound with clear mids and highs. Watch for: Muddy with treble rolloff.

One note: the Soundcore Motion Boom+ is no longer in production and isn’t widely stocked new anymore. The Soundcore Motion Boom+’s replacement, the Soundcore Boom 2 Plus, is rated 3.6/5 at $179.99.

Buy the Soundcore Motion Boom+ at $122.42 for a boombox speaker, or the Soundcore Rave Neo at $80 for a large speaker instead.
