Every Portable Speaker With a Microphone Input

Last updated: September 17, 2026

48 portable speakers in our rankings have a wired microphone input jack, for karaoke, speeches, busking or anywhere you need a mic plugged straight into the speaker.

A mic input is a feature, not a sound-quality signal; a speaker’s rank here reflects its measured audio performance, not how good the mic input itself sounds. See our curated best mic input picks if you want sound quality weighed against usable gain and echo control rather than just every match.

This is every match, grouped by size and sorted by measured sound quality.

Boombox Size Portable Bluetooth Speakers

Ranked #5 of 75 in Boombox Size Portable Bluetooth Speakers - JBL Partybox Encore Essential 2: $254.12 Amazon B&H Photo Video eBay

JBL Partybox Encore Essential 2 ranking card

Pros: A compact 6.2kg party speaker with 100W output, 110dB maximum level, a 15-hour claimed battery, app-based 7-band EQ, dynamic lighting, USB playback, guitar and mic inputs, and Auracast linking. Independent testing finds a balanced midrange, genuinely punchy low bass and enough output for a backyard gathering; its dome tweeters also improve the earlier Encore’s high-frequency behavior.

Cons: It is front-facing, so the sound changes noticeably to the sides and behind it, and bass compression reduces kick-drum impact at maximum volume. Bluetooth latency can cause lip-sync issues, its IPX4 rating only covers splashes, and it omits the wireless microphones bundled with the non-Essential Encore 2.

Ranked #15 of 75 in Boombox Size Portable Bluetooth Speakers - Zealot ZE51: $296.39 after coupon Amazon Aliexpress eBay

Zealot ZE51 ranking card

Pros: Cleaner sound and a wider stereo soundstage than the Zealot ZE41, with less distortion at high volume for better instrumental detail and clarity.

Cons: The Zealot ZE41 still wins on raw bass depth and price. Large and heavy like the rest of the boombox class, and clarity still isn’t up to dedicated hi-fi speakers.

Pros: The absolute best value for the bass performance, play time and max volume in the boombox class.

Cons: The heaviest and biggest boombox speaker around. A little rolled off up top and not that balanced through the rest of the range. Clarity isn’t as good as better speakers. Bass EQ is bloated and muddy sounding.

Pros: Pretty deep bass. Measured bass extension of 40Hz (-10dB).

Cons: Sounds quite muddy with the boosted lower and upper bass. Boosted treble around 6khz. Xbass mode makes it sound even more muddy. Nowhere near as neutral and balanced as the first Blast and a big downgrade unless you only care about max volume

Ranked #50 of 75 in Boombox Size Portable Bluetooth Speakers - ZZA K8: $40 after clipped coupon, Discontinued eBay

ZZA K8 ranking card

Pros: Completely insane value for the money. Comes with 2 metal body wireless microphones that are USB-C chargeable. Comes with Chinese labeled infrared remote control. Has voice delete function that works quite well. Adjustable microphone reverb. Pretty good build quality. The default EQ is the most balanced, the other two sound muffled.

Cons: Very V curve frequency response, can be harsh in the treble range. Treble is boosted a good +10dB. Midbass is recessed. Slight distortion issue at all volume levels due to the bass high pass filter being set too low. Discontinued and no longer sold new. Discontinued.

Ranked #61 of 75 in Boombox Size Portable Bluetooth Speakers - ION Pathfinder 4: $300 eBay

ION Pathfinder 4 ranking card

Pros: A feature-heavy 11kg party speaker with claimed 120W output, a very long 100-hour battery rating at moderate volume, FM radio, USB playback, aux and microphone inputs, lights, USB-C charging and a Qi charging pad. It can pair with a second unit for stereo, making it useful for long outdoor events where convenience matters more than fidelity. Measured bass extension of ~62Hz (-10dB).

Cons: Its roughly 62Hz -10dB bass extension is shallow for a speaker this large, so it does not deliver the deep impact of better party-speaker rivals. The heavy enclosure is cumbersome to carry, IPX5 only protects against sprays, and its simple high/low tone controls cannot provide the precision of a full app EQ.

Ranked #1 of 39 in Party Size Portable Bluetooth Speakers - Sony ULT Tower 7: $648.00 Amazon eBay

Sony ULT Tower 7 ranking card

Pros: A compelling large-party value at $648: 420W output, an IPX4-rated 30-hour battery, 360-degree sound, wheels and four carry handles at 22.8kg. The full review praises its punchy, clean ULT1 bass, ULT2’s higher-output mode, simplified controls and unusually complete I/O: USB-C, USB-A, RCA, balanced XLR and mic input.

Cons: The reviewer notes that Auracast pairing is not backward-compatible with Sony’s older Party Connect speakers, and the hard-plastic corners lack protective rubber bumpers. IPX4 is splash resistance rather than full weatherproofing; the 30-hour claim requires lights off.

Ranked #2 of 39 in Party Size Portable Bluetooth Speakers - JBL Partybox 330: $549.95 Amazon B&H Photo Video eBay

JBL Partybox 330 ranking card

Pros: A highly complete rolling party speaker: removable battery, telescoping handle and wheels, light show, Auracast, USB-C lossless and optical inputs, plus dual mic/guitar inputs. It supplies a little more power than the 310 and Stage 320, while reviewers report better midrange clarity than the older 310 and the same deep party-speaker bass.

Cons: It remains very large and heavy, and the sound improvement over the Stage 320 is modest rather than transformational. JBL removed the dedicated mic gain/control knobs found on earlier models, a real drawback for frequent karaoke use. Do not upgrade from a 310 or Stage 320 just for the higher watt figure.

Ranked #5 of 39 in Party Size Portable Bluetooth Speakers - Sony ULT Tower 5: $448.00 Amazon eBay

Sony ULT Tower 5 ranking card

Pros: At $448, its 300W system with a 9-inch woofer delivers a notably capable party-speaker package: a removable 20-hour battery, IPX4 splash resistance, 10-band EQ and ULT1/ULT2 modes. AudioTribe’s first impressions praise its deeper bass and clearer sound than the JBL PartyBox Club 120; it also has USB-C and USB-A, RCA, balanced XLR and mic inputs for DJ and karaoke use.

Cons: It has a shorter 20-hour battery claim than the Tower 7’s 30 hours, no wheels, and only IPX4 splash resistance. Its single-woofer, two-tweeter layout lacks the Tower 7’s 360-degree rear-driver array, and the reviewer describes the sound assessment as first impressions rather than a controlled measurement comparison.

Pros: A relatively manageable 11.3kg PartyBox with removable battery, foldable handle, light show, USB audio and modern JBL connectivity. Independent reviews describe it as unusually balanced and powerful for its format, while owner feedback praises clear voices and deep bass.

Cons: It is still bass-forward and less clear than the PartyBox 120 in direct comparisons. The smaller battery and stripped-back controls/features make it a questionable upgrade when the 120 is similarly priced.

Multiple inputs (RCA, USB, 3.5mm aux, mic, guitar). LED light modes (meter/pulse/party). True Wireless Stereo pairing up to 2 units. Measured bass extension of 40Hz (-10dB).

Cons: Hard to carry, too tall, drags on the ground. Max spl and bass extension are only as good as the Partybox 100. No real reason to ever get one, get a Partybox 100 instead. Discontinued.

Ranked #11 of 39 in Party Size Portable Bluetooth Speakers - Onn XL Wireless Party Speaker: $249.00 Walmart eBay

Onn XL Wireless Party Speaker ranking card

Pros: A compelling all-in-one party and karaoke package: dual 8-inch woofers, 240W claimed output, two included wireless microphones, dual mic/guitar inputs, karaoke effects and USB-A phone charging. It plays loudly enough for backyard use and has punchy bass; owners especially like the wheels, telescoping handle and colorful light effects. At 44 lb it is still a substantial cabinet, but the trolley design makes moving it far easier than carrying it.

Cons: Sound favors punch and a forward/bright top end over refinement. Independent comparisons and owner reports find the bass less deep and the overall balance less satisfying than the JBL PartyBox 320; several consider the far-cheaper Onn Large Party gen 2 the better sound-per-dollar buy. Some owners report distortion or static at high volume, and a few report wireless-mic pairing/dropout problems. Large (30 inches tall, 44 lb) and only IPX4 splash-resistant, not a speaker to leave out in rain.

Pros: Dual 166mm woofers and 200W output in a lighter, more compact body than the ZE41, with a bundled wireless microphone and echo effect built in for karaoke. Quite deep bass for the price, even deeper than the JBL Boombox 4 in direct comparisons.

Cons: Unlike some other Zealot models, app-based EQ customization doesn’t appear to be fully supported yet, and IPX5 means it can handle splashes but not submersion.

Ranked #15 of 39 in Party Size Portable Bluetooth Speakers - Onn Large Party gen 2: $129 Walmart eBay

Onn Large Party gen 2 ranking card

Pros: A remarkably full-featured, manageable 9.5kg party speaker: wheels and handle, FM radio, aux, USB-A charging, mic and guitar inputs with karaoke echo, and Party Sync. Independent testing confirms bass with real impact and enough output for a large room; it is a clear improvement over the Gen 1 for low-end weight.

Cons: The low price shows in the refinement. Consumer Reports found boomy bass, hazy/grainy mids, a prominent smeared treble and a narrow, two-dimensional soundfield; it also notes distortion or other audio issues. There is no app or EQ to tame the tuning, and IPX4 only covers splashes rather than rain or immersion.

Ranked #18 of 39 in Party Size Portable Bluetooth Speakers - W-King T12: $379.04 Amazon Aliexpress eBay

W-King T12 ranking card

Pros: A large, capable karaoke-party package with dual 8-inch woofers, independent bass and treble controls, mic and guitar inputs with echo, USB and microSD playback, USB-A charging and TWS pairing. Its claimed 25-hour battery and trolley-style form make it practical where high output matters more than compact size.

Cons: Reviewer comparisons find the tuning boxy and less clear than the better-ranked party speakers, so its size and quoted power do not automatically translate to refined sound. It is a 15kg, 75cm-tall speaker with no water rating and no app; the physical tone controls are its only meaningful way to adjust the sound.

Ranked #20 of 39 in Party Size Portable Bluetooth Speakers - Klipsch Gig XXL: $79.99 Amazon eBay

Klipsch Gig XXL ranking card

Pros: A straightforward 8.2kg party speaker with a large 8-inch woofer, horn tweeter, aux and USB playback, guitar and microphone inputs, karaoke reverb, TWS pairing and a USB-A power bank. Independent testing confirms that it gets remarkably loud and gives EDM and hip-hop a lively, bass-forward character.

Cons: Bass is more warm than deep and can become muddy at high volume. There is no app or proper EQ beyond a Bass button, no water rating, and the claimed eight-hour battery life is short for an outdoor party speaker. It is a fun, simple option, but not the cleanest or most flexible choice.

Samsung MX-ST50B ranking card

Pros: A 240W sound tower with two 6.5-inch woofers and two tweeters, IPX5 protection, app EQ, aux and USB playback, karaoke input and Samsung Group Play for linking up to 10 speakers. Hands-on reviews find it capable of clear, punchy sound and impressive output for indoor parties, while its 18-hour claimed battery supports more casual use away from mains power.

Cons: Output drops sharply to 90W on battery, so it needs mains power for its full impact. Bass is not as deep as stronger dedicated party speakers, and at 11.9kg its tall enclosure is less convenient to carry. It lacks TWS stereo pairing, so the Group Play feature favors shared party coverage rather than a conventional stereo image.

Pros: AudioTribe measured 110.6dBC at roughly 6m outdoors with Flat EQ and ULT1 enabled, 4.4dB above the JBL PartyBox Ultimate in the same setup. Its three 11-inch woofers held about 110dB from 40-100Hz; Sony also provides 10-band EQ, Sound Field Optimization, RCA and XLR inputs, USB-C, a mic input, and XLR output.

Cons: The same comparison found it 1.2dB behind the JBL in A-weighted loudness and weaker below 40Hz. At 56.3kg (124lb) and AC-only, this is a wheeled event speaker rather than a portable battery model.

Ranked #2 of 12 in Large Party Size Portable Bluetooth Speakers - JBL Partybox Ultimate: $1,399.95 Amazon B&H Photo Video eBay

JBL Partybox Ultimate ranking card

Pros: A true large-venue party speaker: its 1,100W system, dual 9-inch woofers and six-driver array produce exceptionally deep, authoritative bass and very high clean output. Independent reviews praise its unusually clear, articulate sound at extreme levels. Wi-Fi streaming, app EQ, inputs for two mics/guitar, USB playback, Auracast, a polished light show and wheels make it unusually complete for karaoke and DJ-style use.

Cons: At 39kg and more than a metre tall, this is not casually portable despite the wheels. It needs AC power, has no battery and only IPX4 splash resistance. Reviews also note that its bass-heavy presentation can obscure fine detail and overwhelm a small room; its size and cost only make sense for very large spaces or frequent events.

Ranked #4 of 12 in Large Party Size Portable Bluetooth Speakers - Teufel Rockster 2: $1,269.94 eBay

Teufel Rockster 2 ranking card

Pros: Sounds better and more evenly tuned than the JBL Partybox 720. Horn-loaded tweeter gives far more consistent off-axis sound, unlike the Partybox 720’s dual tweeters, which suffer from comb-filtering interference. Gets louder without distorting - the Partybox 720 starts breaking up at high volume well before this does. Projects clearly over long outdoor distances, covering a large area evenly.

Cons: Not quite as deep bass as the JBL Partybox 720. Bass output drops off further at high volume.

Ranked #5 of 12 in Large Party Size Portable Bluetooth Speakers - JBL Partybox 720: $899.99 Amazon B&H Photo Video eBay

JBL Partybox 720 ranking card

Pros: JBL’s most powerful battery-equipped PartyBox combines 800W output, two removable batteries, wheels, a light show, Auracast, USB-C playback, app EQ and karaoke/guitar inputs. Independent testing confirms very high output, strong bass and a flexible 5- or 7-band EQ; it can easily cover a backyard or large event.

Cons: At 31kg and 94cm tall, it is still cumbersome despite the wheels. Its front-facing vertical driver layout gives uneven sound to listeners at the sides or behind it, bass compresses at very high volume and reviewers note a faint hiss. The default is dark/bass-heavy, so use the app EQ and do not expect a neutral indoor hi-fi speaker.

Ranked #7 of 12 in Large Party Size Portable Bluetooth Speakers - JBL Partybox 520: $799.95 Amazon B&H Photo Video eBay

JBL Partybox 520 ranking card

Pros: JBL’s biggest battery-powered PartyBox combines very high output, deep chesty bass, wheels and a telescoping handle with a capable app EQ, lights, USB-C audio and mic/instrument inputs. RTINGS finds it loud enough for backyards and unusually well-equipped for a battery party speaker.

Cons: It is very large and heavy, Bluetooth latency is high for video, and its front-facing design loses much of the mids and treble to people off to the sides. The bass-heavy default can also make dialogue less clear without EQ.

Ranked #12 of 12 in Large Party Size Portable Bluetooth Speakers - Marshall Bromley 750: $1,299.99 Amazon eBay

Marshall Bromley 750 ranking card

Pros: Much wider, more consistent off-axis dispersion than the JBL Partybox 720, which only fires forward - the Marshall’s standout feature, sounding about the same from any angle.

Cons: Not as deep bass as the JBL Partybox 330 or JBL Partybox 720. Not a great frequency response overall, with some midrange peaks. Only basic bass/treble controls, no full custom EQ like the JBL Partybox 720’s app. Default bass (dynamic mode) is overdone out of the box and needs trimming.
