Pros: Owners and reviewers describe it as loud with punchy bass at a tailgate, and it plays up to 50 hours at moderate volume (about 10 at full) from a user replaceable sealed lead acid battery. It is IP67 rated and floats, and adds AM/FM radio, a microphone input for announcements, an aux input, a phone charging port and bass and treble controls. It also plays from AC power.
Cons: Its bass is nowhere near as deep as top ranked boomboxes like the Tribit Stormbox Blast and Harman Kardon Go + Play 3, which reach down to about 43 Hz and 35 Hz. At about 13.2 kg with only a top handle it is a car camping speaker, not one to carry far. The rear “subwoofer” is an unpowered passive radiator, so bass is punchy rather than deep, and reviewers heard distortion with heavy bass EQ at high volume. A full recharge takes 7 to 8 hours, it has no app or USB playback, and it links only with one other EcoConnect speaker.
