Loewe We. Hear Pro vs Bogasing S8 Pro Max

Last updated: October 10, 2026

Short answer: the Loewe We. Hear Pro for better sound quality, the Bogasing S8 Pro Max for the lower price. The Loewe We. Hear Pro ranks #20 of 103 large speakers, rated 4.3/5, at $275. The Bogasing S8 Pro Max ranks #24, rated 4.2/5, at $123.49, $151.51 cheaper.

Loewe We. Hear Pro vs Bogasing S8 Pro Max

The case for the Loewe We. Hear Pro: It supports AAC Bluetooth, which the Bogasing S8 Pro Max lacks. It has an adjustable EQ, which the Bogasing S8 Pro Max lacks. Watch for: It runs out of headroom quickly: above about 70% volume the bass drops away, the treble gets harsher, and near maximum there is heavy compression and clipping, so the JBL Xtreme 4, Harman Kardon Go + Play 3 and Bogasing S8 Pro Max all sound fuller and cleaner when played loud.

The Bogasing S8 Pro Max is the lighter pick. A true three way stereo design in an aluminium body: a 70mm woofer, two 52mm midrange drivers and two 31mm silk tweeters angled outward, backed by two 80mm passive radiators. At 3.4 lbs (1.55 kg) it weighs noticeably less than the Loewe We. Hear Pro at 4.9 lbs (2.2 kg). The tradeoff: Its tuning is bright: the 3D mode pushes the mids and treble hard, can sound sharp or tiring at higher volumes, and sometimes adds an echo effect to vocals.

Buy the Loewe We. Hear Pro if sound quality matters more than the price. Buy the Bogasing S8 Pro Max if the price matters more than sound quality.

Loewe We. Hear Pro ranking card

Pros: A true stereo speaker with two 70mm woofers, two 25mm tweeters and two passive radiators, and its stereo separation is a standout: in side by side listening it had a wider, more detailed soundstage than the JBL Xtreme 4, with a spacious presentation reminiscent of the old Denon Envaya. At low and moderate volume (up to roughly 60 to 70%) its bass reaches deep enough to shake furniture, and its warm, balanced midrange made it the preferred pick over the Harman Kardon Go + Play 3 and Bogasing S8 Pro Max for background and indoor listening. Bass and treble sliders on the speaker let you tune it without an app. Claimed 24 hours of battery, IPX6 water resistance, USB-C fast charging, a power bank output, an aux input, AAC support and multi-pairing with up to 14 speakers.

Cons: It runs out of headroom quickly: above about 70% volume the bass drops away, the treble gets harsher, and near maximum there is heavy compression and clipping, so the JBL Xtreme 4, Harman Kardon Go + Play 3 and Bogasing S8 Pro Max all sound fuller and cleaner when played loud. At very low volume it benefits from a treble boost. At 2.2kg it is heavy for its size.

Bogasing S8 Pro Max: $123.49 Amazon eBay

Bogasing S8 Pro Max ranking card

Older model: the Bogasing S8 Pro (ranked lower, rated 2.7/5). See every Bogasing S8 Pro generation.

Pros: A true three way stereo design in an aluminium body: a 70mm woofer, two 52mm midrange drivers and two 31mm silk tweeters angled outward, backed by two 80mm passive radiators. Its 3D mode throws a noticeably wider soundstage than mono rivals like the Bose SoundLink Plus and JBL Charge 5, and in side by side listening it came across as fuller, punchier and more detailed than both the JBL Charge 5 and the Soundcore Motion X600. Unlike many portables it stays clean at full volume without audible compression or distortion, where the Bose SoundLink Max, Marshall Middleton and Loewe We Hear Pro all strained. Vocal mode is the most neutral preset. Plays FLAC and other lossless files from USB drives and microSD cards, has an aux input and a built-in mic, and two units pair for stereo.

Cons: Its tuning is bright: the 3D mode pushes the mids and treble hard, can sound sharp or tiring at higher volumes, and sometimes adds an echo effect to vocals. Bass is punchy but not especially deep, and the Tribit Stormbox Lava, Harman Kardon Go + Play 3 and Loewe We Hear Pro all deliver warmer, fuller low end at moderate volume; the Sony ULT Field 5 also sounded richer at moderate levels. Bass mode is its quietest preset rather than its fullest. There is no app or adjustable EQ, only three fixed sound modes.
