What the Loewe We. Hear Pro does well: A true stereo speaker with two 70mm woofers, two 25mm tweeters and two passive radiators, and its stereo separation is a standout: in side by side listening it had a wider, more detailed soundstage than the JBL Xtreme 4, with a spacious presentation reminiscent of the old Denon Envaya. The tradeoff: It runs out of headroom quickly: above about 70% volume the bass drops away, the treble gets harsher, and near maximum there is heavy compression and clipping, so the JBL Xtreme 4, Harman Kardon Go + Play 3 and Bogasing S8 Pro Max all sound fuller and cleaner when played loud.
Buy the JBL Xtreme 5. It is rated higher for sound quality, and saving $124.95 with the Loewe We. Hear Pro does not make up for the sound-quality gap.

Older models: the JBL Xtreme 3 (rated 4.3/5), the JBL Xtreme 4 (rated 3.8/5), the JBL Xtreme 2 (rated 3.4/5) and the JBL Xtreme (rated 3.2/5).
Pros: Removable battery. Quite deep bass, reaching well below 40Hz. A fantastic sounding speaker with excellent off-axis dispersion, a big step up from older JBL portables. Beats the Soundcore Boom 2 and Tribit Stormbox Blast on bass depth and clarity. Plays clean at volume, unlike the JBL Boombox 4.
Cons: High priced. Some bass boost. A hole in the mid-upper bass which can’t be EQ’d out. Default EQ presets are weak (Signature is boring, Chill and Vocal are close to unusable) - needs the custom EQ to sound its best. Bigger and heavier than the Xtreme 4.

At low and moderate volume (up to roughly 60 to 70%) its bass reaches deep enough to shake furniture, and its warm, balanced midrange made it the preferred pick over the Harman Kardon Go + Play 3 and Bogasing S8 Pro Max for background and indoor listening. Bass and treble sliders on the speaker let you tune it without an app. Claimed 24 hours of battery, IPX6 water resistance, USB-C fast charging, a power bank output, an aux input, AAC support and multi-pairing with up to 14 speakers.
