28 powered speakers in our rankings have a coaxial digital input, a S/PDIF connection carried over an RCA-style connector instead of optical fiber. It serves the same role as an optical input, feeding a digital signal in from a TV, disc player or other source, and some equipment offers only one of the two, so check which your source actually has before buying.
A speaker’s rank here reflects its measured audio performance, not the presence of this input. If you want a coaxial digital input specifically weighed against sound quality rather than just listed, see our curated best powered speakers with a coaxial digital input picks instead. For background on this and other connector types, see powered speaker inputs explained.
This is every match, grouped by size and sorted by measured sound quality.
