Newer model: the Edifier S2000MKIII, ranked lower, rated 3.5/5.

Pros: Powered bookshelf speakers with a planar tweeter and a 5.5” aluminum woofer, 124W total, and Bluetooth, optical, coaxial and analog inputs. Audio Science Review measured deep bass for the size, 52.7Hz (-3dB) and about 40Hz (-10dB), and low on-axis deviation (0.40). Measured bass extension of 52.7Hz (-3dB).

Cons: The listening window spans 4.1dB from 300Hz to 5kHz, for a preference score of 4.33 that reaches 6.41 with an ideal subwoofer. Replaced by the S2000MKIII. Discontinued.
