Pros: The replacement for the Wharfedale Diamond 9.1, with a new 4.9” woven Kevlar woofer, a soft dome tweeter with a phase corrector, stiffer multi-layer cabinet walls and rear twin ports. What Hi-Fi found it transparent and honest, with a rich, uncolored midrange and good control.
Cons: No independent measurements yet, so its tonal balance and directivity can’t be compared with ranked speakers. Rated bass stops at 48Hz and 86dB sensitivity is modest, so it wants a capable amplifier and a subwoofer for full-range listening. Wharfedale has since replaced it. Discontinued.
